Re: The threat of legal action by KM Malta Airlines on 25th July, 2025.

ALPA categorically denies ever issuing any directive or unofficial communication to its members at KM Malta Airlines not to use the software ‘Skybreathe’. ALPA has no record of the company having implemented any policies, procedures or training requirements in this regard. 

KM Malta Airlines has resorted to threats and intimidation in an attempt at discouraging ALPA from safeguarding the rights and prerogatives of its members on the basis of false and incorrect information which was fed to the higher levels of management.

Such errors have put unnecessary stress on the pilot community, who do their utmost to fly their passengers safely. Accordingly, the members of the Operations Management team, who are responsible for such a blunder, should be held accountable and shoulder responsibility. 

The Association reserves its right to adopt further measures in this respect.
